Getting away from it all and embarking on an exotic vacation or a relaxing holiday is fabulous—actually getting there is the tedious and tiring part. Whether you’re boarding a ship, flying on an airplane, or taking a long drive to your destination, taking the trip to your vacation can be exhausting and uncomfortable. That’s why you need to be dressed properly for your trip. Forget about dressing up in a perfectly matched suit and a lovely hat with a matching purse. Being comfortable should be your top priority when you have to deal with sitting for hours on your way to your vacation.
First of all, choose clothes in a light material and which fit you well. Extremely tight clothing will make you feel uncomfortable throughout your trip, and make sure none of the fabrics you use are rough or itchy.
If you’ll be heading to a warm place, you don’t have to get all bundled up in the plane, or whatever you’re taking for the trip. You can bring along a sweater to keep yourself warm and it’s not too bulky and doesn’t take up too much space. Ease up on your footwear and just slip on some flipflops or sandals to keep it light.
If you’re heading to a cold place, you’re going to need lots of things to stay cozy. But instead of piling on your clothes right away, pack them in your carry-on luggage first and take them out and put them on when you’re about to get out of the vehicle.
Nowadays, there are lots of people who like to travel in hoodies, sweatpants, and sneakers. If you think that’s just too casual for you, you can still wear something that’s not dressy, but still casual. Slip into your favorite jeans and a simple shirt, and make sure you pair the whole thing with shoes you can actually walk around in—or even run in, if you find that you have to rush to your next departure gate.
Want to look a little bit dressed up? No doubt that some of you might still want to look gorgeous on your trip. Choose flowy skirts so they won’t restrict your movement when you’re sitting down on long trips. Your shoes must be comfortable and you should wear heels you can walk around easily in.
The important thing is for you to wear what you’re always comfortable in, make sure you don’t bring any extra things that will only take up precious room, and put on an outfit that won’t make you look strange when you finally arrive at your destination.
