Paris City Of Love
By Anna Lynn Sibal
Paris. The City of Lights and the City of Love.
Paris is one of the most romantic cities in the world, if not the most romantic city ever.
Paris is a favorite destination among honeymooners, not to mention couples who are looking for a great romantic getaway.
But Paris is not just a city for couples. Even singles can fully enjoy the romance of Paris.
And who knows? Maybe they can find the love of their lives there, or at least a short holiday fling.
Wouldn’t you love to spend Valentine’s Day in Paris? There are many, many romantic things that you and your sweetie can do in Paris, whether or not it is Valentine’s Day. Topping this list of romantic activities you can do in Paris is taking a stroll. Paris is filled with parks and gardens, like the Jardin du Luxembourg, the Jardin des Plantes or the Buttes au Chaumont, where you and your sweetie can amble about hand in hand or with your arms around each other, or just sit on a bench for some warm cuddling. A leisurely walk in the afternoon is lovely, and a stroll under the evening stars is always great. Whether your taste in gardens runs toward the classical and formal or to the modern and educational, you can take your pick of Paris’s many parks and gardens. Better yet, why not visit them all?
Another great place for a walk with your sweetie is a museum. Paris is an old city filled with culture, and there are so many museums in there. Among the most notable of these museums is the Louvre, home of the famous Mona Lisa.
How about taking in the panoramic views of Paris from the top of the Eiffel Tower? The view of the city from the Eiffel Tower is so spectacular that it takes your breath away. And if you guys feel up to it, the Eiffel Tower is a great spot to ask for your lady’s hand in marriage. Tom Cruise made his proposal to Katie Holmes there. You guys may not be Tom Cruise, but that should not stop you from popping the question to her at the Eiffel Tower. The breathtaking view might make her say yes.
A vacation in Paris is not complete without some wining and dining – and also some dancing if you please. French cuisine is known to be exquisite, and a candlelit dinner for two always feels intimate. Fill your bellies with marvelous French dishes and your hearts with love.
Do you and your sweetie share a passion for music? Why not try the opera? The Opera Garnier and the Opera Bastille are perfect places to visit for lovers of music and there is nothing like music to set the soul soaring. For couples who love the theater, a vacation in Paris would not be the same without a pilgrimage to La Comédie Francaise.
Paris is one of the most romantic cities in the entire world. You and your loved one can do many things in Paris that will fire up the romance in your relationship. But whatever the two of you do in Paris, what is important is the fact that the two of you are together and enjoying yourselves.
