Las Vegas

By Anna Lynn Sibal

The city of Las Vegas in Nevada is known throughout the globe as The Entertainment Capital of the World. People go to Las Vegas to do exactly that – be entertained. True enough, the action never stops in Las Vegas. Something is always happening there 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Las Vegas is not all about gambling either. Of course, the really big Las Vegas hotels run their own casinos, but there are many other things a visitor can do in Las Vegas aside from gambling. He can try out the great restaurants, ride the Manhattan Express roller coaster at the New York/New York resort, visit the museums and the talking statues at the Forum shops, or climb the replica of the Eiffel Tower in Paris Las Vegas.

Las Vegas

If gambling is your thing, and if gambling is the only reason you are in Las Vegas, you only have to walk into a casino and find a game that you want to play. You can flit the hours away seated at a slots machine or get caught in the excitement of rolling the dice at craps. You can practice your blankest expression as well as your bluffs at poker tables, or go for a game of blackjack or baccarat. Or you can watch the latest segment in the World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker Tournament. If gambling is your thing, Las Vegas is your Mecca.

And then there are the shows. Las Vegas earned its entertainment capital moniker because so many great acts have performed there, in the clubs and lounges of Las Vegas. Ol’ Blue Eyes and the King (Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley, for those of you who have no idea who they are) have serenaded fans in Las Vegas. The likes of Barry Manilow and Celine Dion are also current regulars in Las Vegas.

If you and your loved one are feeling romantic, the two of you can dance the night away in the many clubs dotting Las Vegas. You can also drift in the romantic atmosphere created by the magical mists of the Bellagio Fountains or ride a gondola at the Venetian. If the two of you want to get married without much of a fuss, run away and elope in Las Vegas.

There are many, many things you can do in Las Vegas. It is not called The Entertainment Capital of the World for nothing. If you are planning to go for a vacation in Las Vegas, check with your travel agent. You are most likely to find a good Las Vegas travel package in the offer, especially when you are working on a limited budget. Or maybe you want to do your own planning and research. With the Internet, you can accomplish this easily. Be sure to check out the pictures of Las Vegas that you will find on the Internet. These will get you really excited and raring to go on your Las Vegas trip.

Exciting activities and relaxing accommodation awaits you at the Las Vegas hotel and casino packed with fun-filled entertainment for an amazing Las Vegas trip.
