All Inclusive Package Travel
By Anna Lynn Sibal
If you are thinking of taking the entire family for a vacation on the Caribbean, you may be able to score a great deal if you find yourself an all inclusive package trip to the Caribbean. With an all inclusive package trip, you will be able to have almost every need of every family member, children and adult alike, attended to on this trip.
Of course, before you book your all inclusive trip, you must ask your travel agent first exactly what he/she means with all inclusive. Also, just what exactly are included in an all-inclusive package trip?
A proper all-inclusive package trip has most of the following:
Free access to the beach. You do not have to pay a separate fee just to be able to go to the beach. The same goes with the pool. However, if you want to be able to use the lounge chairs, both at the beach or at the poolside, better come early because it is usually a first come, first served deal with lounge chairs.
Great, fun pools, complete with waterslides, falls and sometimes, private water parks, all for the enjoyment of the family, especially of the kids. Take care, however, because most pools are not heated and can be chilly for night swims.
Schedules for water sports, either motorized or non-motorized. Such water sports include kayaking, scuba diving, windsurfing and snorkeling. Some beach resorts in the Caribbean, however, charge extra fees for motorized water sports, so best check it out first before you engage.
A family vacation would not be complete without some family activities, such as scavenger hunts, beach parties, theme nights and bingo. Beach resorts also offer activities that will keep the kids, and even the teenagers, occupied. This would be great if you want the kids out of your hair for a while.
Of course, parents need to relax while on vacation, too. Most resorts in the Caribbean have fitness centers and spas as a staple service in their properties, and they are available in all-inclusive packages. Moms will definitely not pass up a day spent at a spa. For dads, there are golf courses where they could putt to their hearts’ content. If the parents also want to enjoy a romantic night to themselves while the kids are asleep, there are fine-dining restaurants that provide that necessary romantic atmosphere.
Food will certainly be a concern on vacations. All-inclusive packages include buffet meals for both kids and adults. For people who want to dine a la carte, there are also restaurants that offer just that. In some resorts, however, if a family wants to dine a la carte, they have to make reservations first.
Most all inclusive package trips have most, if not all of the amenities listed above. Take note, however, that because all-inclusive packages nearly include everything, they do cost a pretty penny, about hundreds of dollars per head per night. But going on an all-inclusive package trip is certainly worth the expense if you just want to relax and do not want to worry about anything on your Caribbean vacation with your family.
